Mr. Boyd Clayton Gravitt, 82
~~Mr. Boyd C. Gravitt, age 82, of Flowery Branch passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Steve Lewallen and Rev. Frank Ford will officiate. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mr. Gravittt was born August 10, 1935 to the late Minor & Rachel Gravitt in Murrayville. He was of the Baptist Faith and retired from the Hall County Board of Education, where he was a custodian.
Mr. Gravitt is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gravitt of Flowery Branch; children, Linda & Eddie Cronic, Janice Wooten, Susan & Roger Lovell, Cindy & Tracy Campbell, Pam & Eddie Towe and Tracy & Steve Jones; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul Gravitt, Evelyn Powers and Corene Clark; special family friend, Jackie Diaz; and beloved dog, Gracie. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 grandchildren.

Boyd & Family- Thank you for always treating me like I was no different than any other member of your family. I never met a more kinder or gentler soul than Boyd Gravitt. My heart breaks for all of you but it also rejoices for you because each of you were a part of this man's life and all the love he had to offer and it was so clear that he loved all of you very much. I will be praying that you continue to feel that love for the rest of your days. I love you all.
I'm so very sorry for your entire families loss. I remember this sweet gentleman from my childhood days and he was a true gentleman that loved his family dearly as they did him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I am a teacher at Flowery Branch Ekementary and was there when Mr. Boyd worked there. My boys and I thought so much of him and all he did. I am sorry to say we were unable to attend the visitation, but wanted to express our condolences to the family.

To the Gravitt family, I am so sorry to here about your dad. He was a great and friendly man. I remember all the times I spent at your house and when he and Janice took me to the Emergency room when I first hurt my knee. I love all of y'all. You all are in my prayers.
