Ms. Dolores "Dee" Goodwin, 86

When this Saint went marching in, the roses bloomed!

On Thursday morning, January 11, 2018, Dolores (Dee) Goodwin of Gainesville continued her journey beyond this earth and is now seated at the right hand of God. A talented and kind-hearted woman, Dee embraced a myriad of challenges and gave thanks for the many blessings she encountered throughout her lifetime. She was a devoted Christian, a generous mother, a patient teacher, a trusted friend and a loving grandmother to her thirteen grandchildren. Her career path included successful business ownership as a professional florist, personal banker and dedicated medical transcriptionist. Dee was truly an intellectual with great reasoning skills. Her creative talents were many including knitting, china painting and sewing. Survived by her three daughters—Karla Goodwin (Jim) Richwood, Ohio, Kathy O’Neil (Gary) Marysville, Ohio and Kristin Kern (Kevin) of Gainesville, Georgia and her loving friend, George Wildridge of Sun City West, Arizona—she was admired and loved by many.

Proverbs 11:17 “Your own soul is nourished when you are kind…”
