Mr. Arvin Chandler Gearin, 72

Mr. Arvin Chandler Gearin, age 72, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

            Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, May 14, 2012 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Gainesville with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Steve Baker and Reverend Darin Cain will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the funeral home.

            Mr. Gearin a lifelong resident of Hall County was born on July 2, 1939 to the late L.T. Gearin and Allie Mae (Grizzle) Gearin. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He was a member of the first graduating class of North Hall High School in 1958. Mr. Gearin was the Department Manager at the Gainesville Sears store for 30 years, he retired in 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

            Mr. Gearin is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Patsy (Cain) Gearin of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and David Moore of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Betty Gearin of Clermont; grandson, Brannon Moore of Gainesville; granddaughters, Delenna Gee of Cleveland; Jennifer Lunsford of Gainesville; Haley Shuler of Gainesville; five great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Bell Stells of Clermont and a brother Kenneth Gearin of Murrayville.
