Mrs. Ruby Garmon Pruitt, 71

Mrs. Ruby Garmon Pruitt, age 71, of Tignall, formerly of Cumming passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at University Hospital in Augusta, following an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2011 from the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev Sam Rickett will officiate. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pruitt was born April 21, 1941 to the late Major & Viona Reeves of Dahlonegha. She was a former member of Cumming Second Baptist Church and had worked for Cornett Carpet Company. Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry C. Garmon; and daughter, Rhonda Seifer.

Survivors include: husband of 15 years, Lamar Pruitt of Tignall; sons & daughters-in-law, Larry "Boss" & Lisa Garmon of Gainesville and Dennis & Carolyn Anderson of Suches; son, Jeff Garmon of Gainesville; daughter & son-in-law, Kathy & Robert Coleman of Chattanooga, TN; step-daughter & husband, Cathy & Billy Darby of Cumming, 2 brothers; 6 sisters; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & newphews.
