            Kenny Mark Stowers, age 47 of Norcross, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at his sister’s residence following an extended illness.

            Celebration of Life services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with graveside services to follow in Gillsville City Cemetery.  Mr. Rodney Parks and Mr. Tim Barrett will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 5 – 8 pm and Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Stowers was born March 23, 1965 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Harry Vernon Stowers and Margaret Beatrice Parks Stowers. He was employed with Target as a crew member and was of the Baptist Faith.  Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Harry & Dola Stowers and Ferd & Mary Lou Parks, niece, Kayla Holmberg and nephew, Nicholas Smith.

            Mr. Stowers is survived by his loving sister, Carol Stowers Smith (James), nephew, James Smith (Diane), niece Erin Cross (Jeremy), and great-niece, Jaycie Cross; loving sister, Karen Stowers Padgett (John), niece, Katie Crider (Jerod); loving brother, Louis Stowers (Beth), niece, Jessica Carlyle (Issac), nephew, Adrian Stowers (Ashley) and great-niece, Lillian; loving sister, Gail Stowers, niece, Misty Holmberg, nephew, Ric Holmberg (Alyssa), great-nephews, Austin Scarbrough, Damean Holmberg, Anthony Holmberg, Marcus Holmberg and Braylon Holmberg; loving brother, Bill Stowers (Fonda), niece, Whitny, nephew, Ethan; loving sister, Ann Stowers Hall (Tim), nephew, Patrick Hall, nieces, Kasey Hall and Brittney Plyler, great-niece, Dezarea Beatty; loving sister, Cheryl Stowers Brown (Scott), nieces, Michelle and Hilary and nephew, Adam; beloved cousins, aunts and uncles; Target extended family members.

            Thank you cousin, Rodney Parks and best friend, Tim Barrett for the kindness, love and support during this journey.
