Mrs. Evelyn Marjorie Cantrell Couch, 89

            Evelyn Marjorie Cantrell Couch, age 89 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday Morning, July 10, 2012 at Bell Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at Flat Creek Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.  Reverend Mike Taylor and Reverend Richard Thomas will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 2 – 4 pm and 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Couch was born February 5, 1923 in Flowery Branch, Georgia to the late Otto Clarence Cantrell and Victoria Propes Cantrell.  She was a homemaker and a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Junior Cantrell.

            Mrs. Couch is survived by her husband of 71 years, Vernice Couch of Gainesville, sons & daughters-in-laws, Tony & Doris Couch of Gainesville and Tim & Debbie Couch of Flowery Branch, grandchildren, Tim & Robin Nix of Cleveland and Cale & Jennifer Couch of Canton, Georgia and sister, Thelma Camp of Westminister, South Carolina.
