Mrs. Mary Ann Hayes, 92

            Mary Ann Hayes, age 92 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at New Horizon’s North Nursing Home following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Brian Kinney will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.     

            Mrs. Hayes was born May 20, 1920 in Winder, Georgia to the late David Self and Eva Lena Kidd Self.  She was a homemaker and a member of New Haven Congregational Holiness Church.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John C. Hayes.

            Mrs. Hayes is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Betty & Terry Hambrick of Gainesville, sons & daughters-in-law, Jewell & Ann Hayes of Statham, Georgia, Ernest Hayes of Oakwood, James Hayes of North Georgia, Bobby & Joan Hayes of Chestnut Mountain, Johnny Hayes of Gainesville and Jimmy & Robin Hayes of Gainesville, 19 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
