Ms. Ruby Katherine Coker, 85

            Ruby Katherine Coker, age 85 of Oakwood, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend James Ransom, Reverend Bill Franklin, Reverend Hoyt Skelton and Reverend Doug Gains will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, September 7, 2012 and Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 7 – 9 pm at the funeral home.

            Ms. Coker was born April 8, 1927 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Frank John Coker and Nannie Mae Seay Coker.  She was retired from Leece-Neville and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. 

            Ms. Coker is survived by her son, Tom James Falconi of Oakwood, brother & sister-in-law, Bill & Mary Jo Coker of Flowery Branch, granddaughters, Sehena L. Falconi and Ashley Thomas, special friend, Joan Black of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.
