Mr. Tannis Michael "Mike" Murphy, 75

            Tannis Michael “Mike” Murphy, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Atlanta following an extended illness.

            Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 3:00 pm at New Hope Church, Price Road. 

            Mr. Murphy was born January 14, 1935 in Phoenix City, Alabama to the late Carlton Murphy and Mary Alice Wood Murphy.  Mr. Murphy was retired from ISO Caterpillar Inc.

            Mr. Murphy is survived by his daughters & sons-in-laws, Michelle & Matthew Pritchett of Dahlonega, Kimberly & Ramiro Diaz of Flowery Branch and Sandra & Ernesto Mendoza of Jefferson, sons, Michael Murphy of Gainesville, Randy Hunter of Dawsonville and Jeffery Hunter of Dallas, 24 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchildren, brothers, Morris Murphy of Phoenix City, Alabama and Wayne Murphy of St. Simons Island, Georgia.
