On Saturday, May 1, 2010 William “Billy” Dale Shepherd went home to be with our father in Heaven, to walk in peace, free from pain, humbling praising our Savior for His healing grace and redeeming love.

 

Billy’s greatest loves were his wife, Michelle, and his two sons, Isaiah (5) and Matthew (3).

 

Billy was born on April 4, 1973 in North Vernon, IN. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dale Shepherd and a brother, Mark Shepherd.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Grizzle Shepherd and their two sons, William Isaiah and Matthew Dale Shepherd, mother and step-father, Charlotte Rose & J.B. Bell of North Vernon, IN, brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Rhonda Shepherd of Buford, GA, sister, Jeanna Leach of North Vernon, IN, brother, Steve Shepherd and sister, Vicki Cardinal of North Vernon, IN, sister-in-law, Ashley Grizzle Sims and Cory of Maysville, GA, brother-in-law, Ross Grizzle of Flowery Branch, GA, father-in-law, Steve Grizzle and Teresa of Flowery Branch, GA, mother-in-law, Lavonda Evans Murphy and Bobby of Flowery Branch, GA, Nanny Norma Thomas, and numerous nephews and nieces along with many extended family members.

 

He was loved more than he will ever know and will be missed by all that knew him.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, May 7, 2010 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Linkovs will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, May 7, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made at any Wachovia bank: Isaiah and Matthew Shepherd Fund, c/o Michelle Grizzle Shepherd.
