Mr. Gilbert Witsell, 73

            Gilbert P. Witsell, age 73, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at his residence.

            Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home South.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.

            Mr. Witsell graduated from Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana and received his BSBA degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  He took an active role in the Parkinson’s Action Network and was Congressional Coordinator for Georgia District 9 along with being an active member of the Lake Country Shakers Parkinson’s support group.

            Mr. Witsell is survived by his wife, Eleanor Gene Witsell, three daughters and sons-in-law, Marie & David Dusse, Carolyn & Bob Benson and Katherine & Dave Pappas; Seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and brother & sister-in-law, Leigh & Ethel Witsell.
