Mr. Robert Malcolm Garbutt, 75

Robert Malcolm Garbutt, 75, of Commerce, GA passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 following a period of declining health.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Allen Garbutt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on September 24, 1943 in Atlanta, GA he was the son of the late Thomas Wright Garbutt, Jr. and the late Dorothy Jeanette Roberts Garbutt. Mr. Garbutt was retired from Arcade Printing Inc. where he was a supervisor. He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Garbutt is preceded in death by his son, Bobby Garbutt; daughter, Beth Garbutt and sister, Lynn Kell.

Mr. Garbutt is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Garbutt of Commerce; sons and daughters in law, Wallace and Tracey Garbutt of Maysville, Timothy and Elizabeth Garbutt of Suwanee; daughter, Kelly Garbutt of Lula; grandchildren, Brent Garbutt, Jennifer Whitmire (Sean), Chris Garbutt (Amber), Chad Garbutt (Vada), Kayla Garbutt, Andrew Garbutt, Haley Garbutt; great grandchildren, Ember Whitmire, Sutter Garbutt; sister and brother in law, Miriam and John Borup; sisters, Betty Roe, Elaine Page; sister and brother in law, Mary and Mike Fuller; brother and sister in law, Wright  and Carole Garbutt and a number of other relatives.

Prayers and condolences to the entire Garbutt family. I enjoyed working with Malcolm and remember our work trip for Arcade to West Virginia to this day.
