Mitchell Wayne Sutton

Mr. Mitchell Wayne Sutton, age 66 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Mount Zion Baptist Church with interment following at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Emerson Ross will officiate; Pastor Tramon Butts of Friendship Baptist Church of Toccoa will deliver the eulogy. Deacons will serve as pallbearers and the deaconess as honorary pallbearers. Family and friends wills serve as flower ladies.  

The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Mr. Sutton was born June 2, 1957 to Wallace & Mable Cheeks Sutton in Gainesville, Georgia. He was a retired lineman with Georgia Power and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for more than 30 years.

Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife of 32 ½ years, Vickie Harrison Sutton; son, Tramon (Tamira) Butts; mother, Mable Cheeks Sutton; sisters, Janice (Kenneth) Austin & Joan Sutton; grandchildren, LeAndre Stready, Taylor (Branden) Annike, & Nicholas Butts; nieces, Monica Austin, Kimberly Austin Fulmore, Jennifer Gordon, & Brittany Gordon; nephews, Kavin (Missy) Sutton, Trey Bailey, & Kenny (Kecia) Austin Jr; and sister-in-law, Deborah (Willie) Gordon. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Sutton.
