Mrs. Louelle graduated from Oakwood High School with my mom, Mildred Smith Peck. Someone told me that she was at Cederhurst so I went by to visit her about 6 weeks ago. She was a joy! We talked for over an hour about Oakwood and how she grew up and Happyland Kindergarten(that I attended). She was a very special person. What a life well lived! We talked about heaven and her faith too so I know where she is. I will be praying for her beloved family.

I am so sorry to hear of Louell's passing. We shared caring for our husbands and helped support each other during those many years. We were both retired educators and could see each over from her condo to mine over the fence. I know she was ready to go when God called her home. I loved her very much and will miss her. My thoughts and prayer are with Waren and Bradley and their families. Nancy Poole

Mrs. Roper gave me my first teaching job at Myers Elementary. I always thought of her as a kind and beautiful person. I’m so thankful for her believing in me all those years ago. I retired from Myers after a 31 year teaching career and I owe that to her. She was a special lady and she will be missed. Wendy Smith

Mrs. Roper was the principal at Myers when my sons were there. Later I would run into her when I was out and about and she always asked about my older son by name even though she had not seen him in years and he was one of many children she had contact with over the years. She was such a nice person, and it was always a joy to see her.

Oh how we loved Louell Roper! She was such a huge encourager! Any time we needed help with something at church, she was one of the first to volunteer! I use a couple of recipes that she shared on a regular basis — I just smile and think of her every time I use these recipes! We are so thankful God chose to bless us by placing Louell Roper in our lives! The family continues to be in our thoughts and prayers! We love you, Chris, Julie, Mallory and Mason Sexton

Bradley, Donna, Warren and Debbie, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Louell. What a treasure she was to all who knew her.....a beautiful, kind, loving, servant who quietly lived out her faith. So many sweet memories with your family. Thankful for the hope we have of one day reuniting with those who have gone before us, but no matter how old we are, I am sure it is a crushing blow to lose a parent. What a legacy both of your parents left of how to live a life pleasing to our Lord to the very end of this life. Prayers for peace, assurance, and comfort for the days ahead. Love to you all, Lori Webb Stapleton

Louell was a cousin-by-marriage to me. Her husband, Ray, was my mom's first cousin. I loved Louell. We would see each other out, and she would always tell me how proud she was that I became a teacher. I valued her advice and support through the years. I know that she and Ray and my parents are rejoicing in Heaven right now!
