Mr. Marcus "Johnny" Cooper, 74

           Mr. Marcus “Johnny” Cooper, 74, of Clermont, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at his home.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Waters will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.


            Born on November 2, 1947 in Gillsville, Georgia, he was the son of the late Marcus Branson Cooper and the late Catherine Brewer Cooper. He retired from the Heating and Air industry where he installed air conditioner.


In addition to his parents, Mr. Cooper is preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Cooper.


            Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Joann Cooper of Clermont; son and daughter in law, Dewayne and Heather Cooper of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Kerry and Angela Cooper of Gainesville; granddaughter, Kennedy Cooper of Gainesville; granddaughter, Kameron Cooper of Gainesville; sister and brother in law, Betty and Jerry Gowder of Gainesville; sister and brother in law, Wanda and Larry Adams of Toccoa; brother, Tony Cooper of Macon and a number of nieces and nephews.


Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
