Mrs. Martha D. (Barton) Mullis, 71

Mrs. Martha D. (Barton) Mullis, age 71, of Cleveland, Georgia, died Sunday afternoon, July 24, 2022, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Mullis was a native of Murrayville, Georgia. A graduate of North Hal High School Class of 1969. Mrs. Mullis also attended Gainesville Junior College and worked at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and as a paraprofessional for a number of years for the Hall County School System. She was a loving wife and mother. She was born February 18, 1951 and was the daughter of the late James Arvin Barton and Cosetta Lee Barton.

Mrs. Mullis is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Mullis, Jr. and her two daughters, Ashley Barton Mullis and Mrs. Amber Cantrell and son-in-law, Mr. Drew Cantrell; two grandchildren, Neveah Mullis and Kevin Cantrell; three sisters-in-law, Blanche Barton, Brenda Mullis, Candy Skeppstrom and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Christian Hill Baptist Church, 5833 Gailey Drive, Clermont, Georgia 30527.

Today they will bury one of my best friends. RIP sweet Deborah. I will always remember what good times we had. Praying for the family
