He loved music, taught himself to play the guitar and sang at the top of his lungs. He whistled while he worked, laughed from his belly and loved with his whole heart.  He was also a proud member of the “Ring of Fire” motorcycle club out of Winder, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Frier; his sister, Angela Powell; his daughter, Kimberly Shearin and husband Craig Shearin; his son, Thomas Frier III and wife Sharon Frier; his daughter, Sarah Frier. He is also survived by his grandchildren Duncan Frye, Phenix Frier, Jacob Frier, Justin Frier, Zachery Shearin, Peyton Lewis and great grandchild Walker Frye.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Memorial Park South Chapel in Flowery Branch, GA. Rev. Mike Pinson will officiate.

Poppy was the kindest man I’ve ever met. He made sure to always greet me with a kiss on the hand and a bright smile. So genuine. So loving. So unforgettable. I know he’s playing that guitar in Heaven smiling down on us. My heart goes out to his sweet family, especially his grandkids. Pop, you will be missed dearly and loved eternally.

Tom was indeed a special person. I loved him. He was indeed kind, generous and caring. Im not sure where I would be without his encouragements and his genuine concerns of my welfare in my early recovery life. It wasn't just me it's how he treated everyone. I'm sorry I wasn't been able to spent time with him in the recent past. I will miss him. Thank you Tom for everything you did for my family and myself.

There's so much I'll miss about Poppie! His singin' and pickin', his hugs, our camping adventures... and boy did we have some!! The way he made me laugh and our sincere talks when no one else was listening. If you were loved by him, you were blessed because he let you know it. Do your thing Poppie, see you later!

To the family, I graduated from Davie and played ball with Tommy. He was always fun-loving and had something going on all the time. Lost contact with he and Angie when I left Roanoke Rapids. Considered him a friend thru out high school days. My condolences to his family. Another classmate that has left too soon.

Tom was my friend, sponsor and best man my wedding. But even more than this, he taught me gentleness and love. As you read the other comments, it's obvious that his life's goal was to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Frier family.
