Alba Jeanne Ogno Bennett, age 89, of Flowery Branch Georgia, died Monday, February 27, 2023.

She was born in Brooklyn New York on November 14, 1933. She was preceded in death by her mother, Madeline Trotta Ogno, her father Pietro Ogno , her 5 brothers, one sister and her grandson, Michael Justin Ward.

The family will receive visitors at Memorial Park North, Riverside Chapel from 1:30—3 pm Saturday March 4, 2023 with the memorial service to follow at 3pm in the Chapel. The Reverend Seth Harvey will officiate.

Alba worked at several jobs while she lived in Brooklyn. She moved to Gainesville, Georgia in 1980 and worked at NGHS until she retired in 1991. She loved to sit down with, or talk on the phone to family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband of 69 years, Ben, and her family.

Alba is survived by her husband, Benny Ray Bennett, her daughter Barbara Bennett Ward, son in law, John Ward, grandson Matt Ward, great grandson Brady Ward, brothers-Julio Ogno in New Jersey, George(Gio) Ogno in Connecticut, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial gifts be given to the church or charity of your choice.
