Mr. Andrew Gerald Turk, age 44, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Born June 11, 1981 to Gerald & Debbie Turk in Gainesville. Andy graduated from West Hall High school, Class of 2000. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He has spent the past 20+ years serving his community as a first responder. He was a Paramedic Captain for White County and was also employed as a paramedic in Towns County. He was a Nationally Registered EMT Paramedic, and most recently had accepted a position in Stephens County.
Andy loved Georgia football, spending time on the lake, deer hunting, and being around people. He had a big personality and a great sense of humor. He was known to light up the room and bring the fun. Most who know him have a funny Andy story to tell. He loved big and wasn’t afraid to show you with a hug or tell you that he loved you. His greatest joy was being a dad to his three kids, Oliver, Mila, and Reed! He loved spending time with his family.
Being raised by parents with strong Christian faith, Andy received Christ as his Savior many years ago. Because of this, we have no doubt where he is spending eternity. This brings great comfort and peace to our family.
Left to cherish Andy’s memory are his parents, Gerald & Debbie Turk of Gainesville; mother of his children, Rebecca Nelson Turk of Jefferson; children, Oliver, Mila, and Reed Turk all of Jefferson; and sister, Andrea Turk Riley & spouse Scott, and their children, Drew and Anna Kate of Buford.
