Ann was born on March 26, 1941, in New York, NY, to the late Joseph and Anna Karcich. She graduated from Bellevue School of Nursing and was devoted to her work as a labor and delivery nurse for more than 25 years at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ.
Ann is survived by her son, Mike Pacifico (Judy); daughters, Kristine Luisi (Jim) and Diana Morro (Dave); seven grandchildren: Lauren, Matthew, Michael, Christopher, Peter, Norah, and AJ; brothers, Joseph and John Karcich; and sisters, Antoinette Vianello and Teresa Solomon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Carnevale; brother, Martin Karcich; and sister, Josephine Primiani.
Ann will be remembered by all who met her for her smile and warm presence. Her unwavering faith gave her strength to carry through many trials in her life. She had a sense of adventure and loved traveling, dancing, music, the arts, and tennis. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family and her many dear friends.
Known to her grandchildren as “Nanny,” Ann cherished their time together, despite the many miles that separated them. Her love of cooking and entertaining made her home a warm and welcoming place for all.
Ann valued her independence and never stopped learning something new. She had a great thirst for knowledge and personal growth and remained confident when taking on new challenges. She was open-minded and accepting of everyone, which is why so many people felt such great affection for her.
Ann will be missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on through the many memories made.
