It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Arthur Eckert Bilyeu, affectionately known as Art, who left this world on February 2, 2023, at the age of 84. Art was born on April 18, 1939, in Ellenville, New York, and his departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Art is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Pamela H. Bilyeu, and his loving daughter, Jacque Bilyeu-Holmes, along with his cherished grandchildren. Art's family meant the world to him, and he was a pillar of support, love, and wisdom for them throughout his life.
Art's journey was marked by resilience, kindness, and a genuine spirit. He approached life with a sense of humor and a warmth that endeared him to everyone he encountered. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by friends and family, recalling his generosity, compassion, and unwavering love.
In his final years, Art faced health challenges with remarkable courage and grace. His wife, Pamela, and daughter, Jacque, extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers who provided comfort and support during this difficult time. Their commitment to Art's well-being did not go unnoticed, and their kindness brought solace to the family during his final moments.
A celebration of Art's life will be held to honor the legacy he leaves behind, the service will be Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 1 PM at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Georgia Mountain Food Bank in Art's memory, as he was passionate about supporting causes that made a positive impact on the lives of others.
