Mr. Arturo “Chon” Suarez Reyes, age 43 of Oakwood, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at his residence.

Arturo “Chon” was a great man in every sense of the word — giving, loving, and selfless. He was a devoted friend and a dedicated family man whose presence could light up any room. Arturo was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. He was the life of the party, a beacon of joy, and someone whose laughter and energy were truly contagious.

A passionate soccer fan, Arturo’s heart belonged to his beloved Deportivo Toluca Fútbol Club S.A. de C.V. He was filled with pride and joy to witness them win the championship this year — a moment that brought him immense happiness and a memory his loved ones will cherish forever.

His light continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. John Paul II Catholic Mission with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Suarez Reyes was born May 6, 1982 to the late Candido Suarez Zaragoza and Brigida Reyes Gomez in Toluca, Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, Alexia M. Perez-Rojo; sisters, Martha Suarez Reyes, Beatriz Suarez Reyes, Belen Suarez Reyes, Leticia Suarez Reyes, Carmen Suarez Reyes, & Nancy Suarez Reyes; sisters-in-law, Maria Fernanda Perez Rojo, & Dayana Morelia Perez Rojo; mother-in-law, Oliva Rojo Corona; and father-in-law, Fernando Perez Hernandez.

Arturo "Chon" Suárez Reyes fue un gran hombre en todos los sentidos de la palabra: generoso, amoroso y desinteresado. Fue un amigo leal y un hombre de familia dedicado, cuya presencia iluminaba cualquier lugar. Arturo era de esas personas que hacían sentir a todos vistos, escuchados y amados. Era el alma de la fiesta, un faro de alegría, y alguien cuya risa y energía eran realmente contagiosas.

Apasionado del fútbol, el corazón de Arturo pertenecía a su querido Deportivo Toluca Fútbol Club S.A. de C.V. Sintió un profundo orgullo y alegría al verlos coronarse campeones este año — un momento que le trajo una inmensa felicidad y un recuerdo que sus seres queridos atesorarán por siempre.

Su luz sigue brillando en el corazón de todos los que lo conocieron.

La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el viernes 26 de septiembre de 2025 a las 11:00  a.m. en la Misión Católica San Juan Pablo II, seguida del sepelio en el Cementerio Memorial Park South. La familia recibirá a los amigos el jueves 25 de septiembre de 2025 de 11:00 a.m. a 8:00 p.m. en la funeraria Memorial Park South.

El Sr. Suárez Reyes nació el 6 de mayo de 1982 en Toluca, México, hijo de los fallecidos Cándido Suárez Zaragoza y Brígida Reyes Gómez.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Alexia M. Pérez-Rojo; sus hermanas, Martha Suárez Reyes, Beatriz Suárez Reyes, Belén Suárez Reyes, Leticia Suárez Reyes, Carmen Suárez Reyes y Nancy Suárez Reyes; sus cuñadas, María Fernanda Pérez Rojo y Dayana Morelia Pérez Rojo; su suegra, Oliva Rojo Corona; y su suegro, Fernando Pérez Hernández.
