Barbara Joyce Guthrie

Mrs. Barbara Joyce Guthrie, age 91, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. She was born to the late Carter Allen, Sr and Floy T Allen on August 30, 1934 in Canton, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Reverend Tony Ewing will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mrs. Guthrie is preceded in death by her husband Frank Guthrie and her parents.

She is survived by her children, Lynn (Robert) Wilkes of Gainesville, Allen (Retha) Guthrie of Cleveland, Joey (Mary) Guthrie of Flowery Branch, Scott Guthrie of Gainesville; grandchildren, Chris Wiley, Lisa Wiley, Shane Guthrie, Katie (Nick) Hill, Leann Knight; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Carter Allen, Jr, and Tony Allen both of Canton.
