Benny Ray Brown

Mr. Benny Ray Brown, age 82, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026.

Funeral Service is scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown was born December 13, 1943, in Gainesville, Georgia.  He was the son of the late David Brown and Kathleen Strickland Brown.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Ledford Brown; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jo Howell and Herman Howell and his son, Dustin Chad Brown.

Benny was of the Baptist faith and a very talented painter by trade.  He was funny, always full of jokes, the most selfless person you would every meet and a great dad that loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his sons, Steven Brown (Heidi), of Cleveland, Georgia, Scott Brown (LaChele), of Lula, Georgia and Michael Brown, of Baldwin, Georgia; grandchildren, Miranda Bright, Dalton Vance, Hannah Hollis, Abigail Brown and David Brown; several great-grandchildren and his best friend since elementary school, Carl Simmons.  A number of nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive.
