Betty Busher Obituary

Betty J. Busher, 86, of Gainesville, Georgia, affectionately known to all as "Nanny," passed away on June 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and independent spirit.

Born to the late J.T. and Alma Hall on September 15, 1939, in McDonough, Georgia, Betty was a charismatic, classy, and driven woman. She began her professional journey in banking, serving as a welcoming face for Decatur Federal Savings & Loan.

After starting her family, she transitioned into corporate administration, dedicating over 30 years to Rogers Southeast & Associates, a sporting goods manufacturers' representative agency for the Southeastern United States. While sharp and driven in her career, her greatest devotion was to her family. Betty was a fiercely loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her loving children and their families: daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey and Scott Collins of Gainesville and Beth and Nick Tyner of Gainesville; her son Craig Busher of Gainesville. She is also survived by her brother, James Hall of Dahlonega, as well as her 8 adored grandchildren and 10 precious great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Linda Hall; and her sisters, Margaret Hall Orr and Helen Hall

A woman of deep faith, Betty loved the Lord wholeheartedly. She possessed a legendary green thumb and found immense joy in nature and the outdoors. Her beautiful gardens reflected her vibrant inner life and inspired all who saw them. She will always be remembered for her quick wit, independent nature, and elegant presence.

The family would especially like to thank Carla Otero Inciarte for her unconditional love and support. A very special thank you to Pam Branch and Marlen Reyna for their dedicated care and Pruitt Hospice CNA Charlene, Chaplain Carrie, and Nurse Roni, whose kindness and support truly helped make life easier for Betty.
