Betty Ann McClurd Drew of Gainesville, GA went to be with the LORD on March 2, 2026. She would have been 96 on April 12th.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Reverend Bruce Fields will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survived by: Son, Richard Drew, Daughter Gail and Son-in-Law Bennet Aiken. Grandchildren: Richard Drew II and wife Alissa, April and Matt Acker, Amber and Matt Pelot, Dawson and Dillan Drew. Great Grandchildren: Derek, Samantha and Seth Acker, Rhett, Reid, Rhodes and Ridge Pelot, Layne and Cooper Drew. And Beloved Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Beloved Charles Drew: Parents Nora and Jim McClurd: Sisters Jewel Wilborn, Thelma Awtrey, Frances Wright, Kathy Brooks, and Brother, Bobby McClurd. Betty loved the LORD. At Ben Hill Baptist she worked with G.A.’S, taught Junior Young People and worked in W.M.U. Betty and a friend took their first group of G.A.'s to Rock Eagle. She also volunteered with the Red Cross and Pink Ladies.
Betty and Charles moved to the Gainesville Area in 1989. They became members of the Gainesville First Baptist Church and joined the Friendship Sunday School Class. They loved all of their friends and all of the activities to show how they loved the LORD. The LOVES of her life were Charles, Gail and Rick, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She would always help with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren any time she was needed because she loved them so much.
