Mr. Bradley Burchael Long, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. He was born on September 25, 1958, in Gainesville, Georgia to Marie McKinzey Long and the late Burchael Long.
Brad was a devoted husband, father, and son. A man of quiet strength and a servant’s heart, he lived a life defined by his unwavering faith and his dedication to those around him. He spent 40 years as a loyal employee of Wrigley’s. Upon retirement, his persistent work ethic led him to establish Long Lawn Care, a business that allowed him to stay connected to the community he loved while doing what he did best—serving others with his hands and his heart.
A faithful member of Free Chapel Worship Center, his life was a testament to his humble spirit and deep devotion to God. He didn't just attend church; he lived out his faith through his actions, always placing the needs of others before his own.
To know him was to be loved by him. He was famously "loved by all," a man who found his greatest joy in the happiness of his family. He was known for his clever poems and sense of humor; he would do anything to bring a smile to your face. Whether he was lending a hand to a neighbor or finding a small way to brighten someone’s day, he lived by a simple code of kindness.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Tony Sutherland and Pastor Erastus Deline will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
