Brandon Matthew Thompson

Brandon Matthew Thompson, age 50, devoted son, loving brother, uncle, and great-uncle, passed away at home on Thursday January 29, 2026 after an extended illness. He was a former manager at Hibbett Sporting Goods in Gainesville and at Target in Flowery Branch.  He was born to Lester and Nadine (Nardie) Thompson of Ypsilanti, Michigan and graduated from Bellville High School. He dedicated his life to caring for his parents before their death. His sister, Shawn Marie Baines, and her husband Terry, of Gainesville, GA, nieces, Bailey James and Amanda Hutchinson, great-niece and nephews, Aliza, Rowan, and Deacon of Gainesville survive him.  He will be deeply missed by all who new him, as well as his two special companions, Leila and Padme, his loving cats.
