Brenda Sue Armstrong (Vest), age 74, peacefully passed away on May 17, 2026, after a battle with cancer, at her residence in Braselton, GA, surrounded by her loving children. We take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and free from pain. Brenda's strong Christian faith carried her through and she was lovingly supported by her family, friends and her church right up to the end. Brenda adored spending time with her family, playing card games and completing puzzles with her daughter.
A celebration of life will be held at Chestnut Mountain Church in Flowery Branch, GA, on June 13, 2026. The family will receive guests from 2:00-2:30 and the Celebration of Life will begin at 2:30.
Brenda was born in Mariemont, Ohio, on November 18, 1951, to the late Hurshell Lee Vest and Shirley Mae Warman.
Brenda worked at Larry Burkett's Christian Financial Concepts to develope their Single Parent Ministries. This lead to her being then director on Mercy Tree Ministries, that was an outreach program for single parents and low-income families in south Hall County. While living in Ohio Brenda hosted a radio program called One Heart. Brenda wrote several books including, Financial Relief for the Single Parent, Single Mom's Workplace Survival Guide and Every Single Cent (Financial Guide for Single Adults) by Larry Burkett with Brenda Armstrong.
She is survived by her son, David (Debbie) Armstrong, her daughter, Alicia Walker, her grandchildren, Christian (Samantha) Armstrong and Anna Grace Walker, and great-grandson, Cameron Armstrong. Additionally, also survived by her brother, Roger (Beth) Vest, her sister, Sandra (Tom) Betts and her other brother, Gary (Pam) Vest. Also, her beloved dog, Henry Armstrong.
