Darryll Dean Moon

Mr. Darryll Dean Moon, 71, of Opp, AL passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at Mizell Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Born on July 24, 1951 in Tucker, GA, he was the son of the late Emory Dean and Dorothy Mullinax Moon. He was the owner of Daddo’s Restaurant and of the Baptist faith. He was a beloved business owner in Opp, AL and Dahlonega, GA.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moon was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Dodd, wife, Joyce Moon, and  nephew, Ricky Stonecypher.

Mr. Moon is survived by his daughter, Anna Moon of Opp, AL; daughter and son in law, Shelly and Bobby Mayfield of Dahlonega; daughter, Dee Hulsey of Cleveland, GA; granddaughter and spouse, Madison Ricketts and Silas; grandson, Jordan Ricketts of Dahlonega; grandson, Austin Bales of Commerce, GA; great grandchild, Presley Ricketts of Dahlonega;Niece, Windy Purcell of Dahlonega, niece and nephew, Sabrina and Ron Parker of Gainesville; nephews, Casey Hart of Dahlonega and Robert Hart of Buford.
