Mr. David Bradley Stenander, 83 of Gainesville, GA, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family, on April 3, 2026.
Known to family and friends as Dave. Dave lived life to the fullest, loved his family, enjoyed traveling, and golfed every chance he had. Born on July 24, 1942, in Jamestown, NY, where he grew up playing sports, hunting, and fishing. He joined the Army in 1964 and received a degree in finance. He then started his career with Crescent Tool then MRC / TRW. In 1975, he moved to Gainesville, Georgia with his family where he helped to open TRW Bearings (Currently SKF), retiring from the company after 40 plus years. After retiring, he volunteered at Chicopee Woods Golf Course. The beautiful weather of Georgia allowed him to play golf year-round, and you could find him most weekends on the greens, even scoring 5 holes in one. Dave rarely ate a meal without a sweet treat following, insisted on big smiles in all photos, and loved a good deal!
Dave is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rebecca “Becky”, son Chris Stenander, daughter Lori (Will) Jacks – Holly (dog), granddaughters Peyton and Lillie Dominick, grandson Fischer Stenander, and his faithful dog, Pumpkin.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Evert and Dorothea Stenander, sister Phillis (Al Johnson *still living), and brother Herbert (Sharon) Stenander.
Drop in to help us celebrate the joy Dave brought to our lives. Casual attire and memories welcome.
