Diane Louise Sargent

HOSCHTON, GA — Mrs. Diane Louise Sargent, age 80 of Hoschton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Diane was born on June 5, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later adopted by the late George Lecky and Louise Blank Lecky.

A Life of Warmth & Devotion

To the great benefit of her family, Diane chose to dedicate much of her adult life to being a loving homemaker, wife and mother. With steadfast devotion, Diane’s presence was a daily source of calm and love for her family. She was a constant supporter of her husband’s career as well as her children’s development into the fine adults they have become. In young adulthood, her children continued to enjoy her support when she embarked on a later-stage career in both travel and retail (providing valuable family discounts!). Diane’s gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best.

Family

Diane is survived by her devoted husband (Stanley Sargent of Hoschton), her daughter (Judy Sargent of Huntsville, AL), her son (Peter Sargent of Los Angeles, CA), and her stepdaughter (Kathie Sargent of Greenville, SC). Diane was also beloved by her children-in-law (Jen and Brad), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Henry (13), Fiona (10), and Mia (almost 3!). She is further survived by her sister, Charlotte Ashworth of Tulsa, OK.

Service Information

Private family memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 10, 2025, in the Chapel of Memorial Park Braselton. Pastor Aaron will officiate.
