Donald Lee Dennis

Mr. Donald Lee Dennis, age 78, of Hoschton, Georgia, passed away on May 19, 2026, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton Campus.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Maryland.

Mr. Dennis was born on February 11, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Roland and Catherine Dennis. He worked for 35 years and retired as a foreman from WR Grace Chemical Company.

Don, “Pops” was a kind hearted man who lived a full life loving his family and cherishing those who were dear to him. He will be greatly missed by the community and family all across the country. 

True to his Maryland roots, Don was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Ravens, and all things associated with trapping and eating blue crab and Maryland crab cakes.

The family has fond memories of trips to the beach, lake adventures, going to baseball games, and pool parties.  Don recently enjoyed taking bus trips with his wife of almost 50 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Suellen “Sue” Dennis, his daughters, Jennifer Zimmerman (Tom) and Melissa Merrifield (Todd), and his three grandchildren, Summer, Tucker, and Piper Zimmerman.
