Donald Robertson Obituary

Donald Craig Robertson was born September 26, 1952 in Forsyth County. Other than living briefly in Dawson County and Atlanta he was raised and lived in Hall County. He attended Hall County Schools and graduated from South Hall in 1969. He had various jobs during and after graduation. In 1970 he took a job installing truck scale pits. After a couple of years, he got into the repairing and servicing of all types of scales. He worked for other people and in January 1993 he had the opportunity to become a partner in a new scale company. Several months later his partner had to pull out due to health reasons. Donald took the option to take over the company with God’s blessing he decided to go for it. He asked his son Tim to come on board and help him, Tim accepted is now part owner. Donald became sole owner of AAA Scales & Systems October 1, 1993. AAA Scales was named small business of the month in 2015. AAA Scales donated to various organizations and schools. Donald received various recognitions from his vendors for equipment sold. Donald retired in January 2019. He gave the business to his son Timothy Craig Robertson. Donald was a church going person. He loved the Lord. He was saved January 7, 1979. He was called to preach February 1980. He pastored Northside Baptist Church. He belonged to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Donald is survived by his wife, Shelia Beasley Robertson; daughter-in-law, Melissa Whited Robertson. Much beloved grandson Timothy Craig Robertson Jr. (TJ), brother-in-law John DuBois, sister-in-law, Faye Shadburn, aunts Patricia Robertson Jernigan, Diane Taylor, Evelyn (Bootsie) Taylor, and several great aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Robertson and Marie Taylor Robertson; brother, Eugene Shadburn; and son, Timothy Craig Robertson.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home at 3:30 PM. Reverend Andrew Long and Reverend John DuBois will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawsonville. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
