Douglas Michael Fadool

Douglas Michael Fadool, age 64, of Lula, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 26th, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Margaret Fadool. Doug is survived by his wife of 36 years, Odilia Melo Fadool, sons Derek, David and Daniel Fadool, sisters Karen and Robin Fadool, and brothers Paul, John, and Glenn Fadool. Doug was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 5th, 1961, and graduated from Holy Cross High School in Willingboro, New Jersey. He attended and played baseball at Burlington County College for two years and then graduated from Fairmont State University in West Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Doug worked in various engineering and project management roles for the NJDOT and GDOT for over 30 years. Post retirement, he enjoyed being a part-time truck driver, softball umpire and serving as a member of the 6920 Knights of Columbus Council at St. Michael Catholic Church.

Doug will be remembered for being a devoted, loyal and loving husband to his wife, father to his sons, son to his parents, brother to his siblings, and a great friend to many people. His memory will also live on in the thousands of kids he encouraged while coaching youth sports in Hopewell, NJ and Gainesville, GA. He was passionate about home remodeling projects, always pushing the boundaries of the impossible with basic tools through his engineering precision and unbreaking will.

Visitation will be at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel, 989 Riverside Dr Gainesville, GA on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral mass will be at St Michael Catholic Church 1440 Pearce Circle on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 12pm, followed by burial at Alta Vista Cemetery. Celebrant will be Father Tim Hepburn.
