Douglas McArthur Roberts

Mr. Douglas McArthur Roberts 81, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor Ryan Roberts and Pastor Trevor Stevens will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on April 9, 1942 in Homer, GA, he was the son of the late Howard and Angeline Baker Roberts. He was retired from Cottrell where he was Superintendent.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Sheila Roberts.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Joyce Alexander Roberts of Gainesville; son, Keith Roberts of Lula; son and daughter in law, Ken and Janet Roberts of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Rickey and Melessia Roberts of Gainesville; sister and brother in law, Bonnie and Darial Parsons of Maysville; brother and sister in law, Leon and Betty Roberts of Maysville; sister, Willie Gable of Gainesville; grandchildren, Brian Taylor, Brandy Taylor, Rex Roberts, Kyle Roberts, Katlyn Dispain, Ryan Roberts, Christen Roberts; great-grandchildren, Abigail Taylor, Allison Taylor, Rowan Roberts, Aliza Roberts, Freya Roberts, Kamrynn Suggs, Violet Dispain; a number of nieces , nephews and other loving relatives.
