Evelyn Williams

Nancy Evelyn Williams, age 82, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center New Horizons Lanier Park following an extended illness.

She was born August 10, 1943 and was a lifelong resident of Gainesville She was a hardworking, independent soul and went home to see her Lord.

Ms. Williams was preceded in death by her parents Edward L. and Evelyn (Peebles) Simpson, and brother Neal Simpson.

Survivors include son and daughter in law, Scotty and Jenny Williams, Gainesville; grandchildren Kate Wiggins (Hayden), Gainesville; Jesse Williams, Athens; great grandchildren Roland and Marshall Wiggins; sister in law Deloris Simpson.

The family will hold a graveside service Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
