Fay (Winters) Savage

Mrs. Fay (Winters) Savage, age 87, of Gainesville, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Memorial Park Riverside, one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Park Riverside Chapel, with interment to follow at Springway Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born on July 15, 1938, in Gainesville, Fay was the daughter of the late Monroe Winters and Myrtlene (Crane) Winters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Grady and Sue Winters.

Fay was a faithful member of Springway Baptist Church and retired after many dedicated years of service from Lanier Park Hospital. She was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, unwavering devotion to her family, and the warmth she showed to everyone she met. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

Fay is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Phillip Russell Savage; her devoted children, Tim Savage (Jena) and Pamela Kay Wilson (Mark); her cherished grandchildren, Russell, Jennifer (Matt), Courtney (Jonathan), Ryan (Andi), and Jessica (Stephen); and her 14 beloved great-grandchildren: Grey, Cameron, Grant, Carson, Hudson, Porter, Theo, Wyatt, Gloria, Kinley, Lorraine, Zorah, Ruthann, and Lucile.

She is also survived by her brother, Lloyd Winters (Tricia); her beloved nieces, Michelle Winters Jacobs (Daniel) and Denise Buffington (Joey); her beloved nephew Jeff Winters (Judy), and several additional nieces and nephews; and many treasured friends and neighbors whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
