Fred Dewey Cooper

Mr. Fred Dewey Cooper, age 93, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. He was born to the late Frank Dewey Cooper and Essie Cheek Cooper on August 16, 1932 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was a life time resident of Chestnut Mountain, Georgia

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home at 3:00 PM. Reverend Isaac Cooper will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Mr. Cooper is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Cooper; sisters, Carolyn Bagwell, Mary Hanes; and brother, William Cooper.

He is survived by his son, Wayne Cooper of Gainesville; nieces Sue Jones of TN, Beth DeLa Perriere of Chestnut Mountain, Amy Dotson of Lula; nephews, Jackie Cooper of Chestnut Mountain, Joe Cooper of Chestnut Mountain; several great nieces and nephews.
