Gerald Anthony Parks

Mr. Gerald Anthony Parks, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born to the late James and Anniebelle Parks, in Gainesville, Georgia.

Mr. Parks was a 1973 graduate of Johnson High School. He retired from Glidden Paints in Oakwood. He loved the Lord and was a member of Free Chapel. He loved spending time shooting black powder rifles with his friends at the River Bend Gun Club. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

 A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Parks is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathy Tanner Parks of Gainesville; sister, Carolyn Skelton of Gainesville; brothers, Donnie (Carolyn) Parks of Gainesville, Johnny (Valorie) Parks of Gainesville; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
