Glenda Ann Palmer

Mrs. Glenda Palmer, age 82 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Manor Lake Memory Care Facility.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Memorial Park South Chapel with entombment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Dave Channell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. before the service at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Palmer was born February 1, 1941 to the late L.D. Maltbie & Bessie Nix in Altoona, Alabama. She was a retired property manager after 15 years with Norwood Apartments and attended Christ Place Church. She enjoyed interior decorating, traveling, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved family gatherings, working in the yard, and taking care of her husband, Richard Palmer, of 39 years.  

She is survived by her husband, Richard Palmer of Flowery Branch, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Steve & Karen Cornett of Winder, GA; daughter, Gail Palmer of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Kyle & Whitney Cornett, Austin & Whitney Palmer, Chris & Ashley Cornett, and Kimberly & Derek Owen; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen (Charles) Cleveland of Horton, AL; Trish Reynolds of Flowery Branch, GA; & Betty Sullivan of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Barry & Elaine Palmer of Cleveland, GA; Larry & Carolyn Palmer of Demorest, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Marston Anthony Cornett.
