Ms. Helena Hunt of Flowery Branch passed away peacefully Thursday, May 21, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by family.
Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2026 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home. Pastor Daniel Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Helena was born August 8, 1963 to Weyman & Dorene (nee Kaufman) Hunt in Acworth and attended North Cobb High School. She was a mother of three and worked jobs in retail, banking, and customer service before finding her calling as a nanny who dedicated herself to caring for eight children across two families. Helena cherished her family and her numerous friends. She enjoyed entertaining, traveling, dancing, singing, great food, and was often the center of attention in any room she entered, earning her nickname among friends who lovingly called her "Queen Bee."
Helena is survived by her sons and their wives John (Rebecca), Daniel (Sarah), and Benjamin (Stephanie) Stahl and four grandchildren (Kayla, Isaiah, Noah, and Roman), her brothers Wayne (Anita) and Warren (Linda) Hunt, the Pruitt Family (Baya, Matt, Parker, Carson, Quinn, and Cameron), the Kalinauskis Family (Brooke, Andy, Emma Kate, Drew, Evan, and Aaron), a host of extended family and friends, and her grand dog Claire. She was preceded in death by her father Weyman, her mother Dorene, and her sister-in-law Sallie.
Vibrant flowers and live plants are appreciated. Alternatively, a donation in Helena's name to pancan.org is welcomed.
