Hilda Faye (Godfrey) Stanford

Mrs. Hilda Faye (Godfrey) Stanford, age 79, of Clermont, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Christian Hill Baptist Church in Clermont. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Reverend Jimmy Ellis and Reverend Mike Gaines will officiate.

Hilda was born on January 5, 1947, in Gainesville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Marion Horace Godfrey and Sylvia Faye (Adams) Godfrey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Stanford and her sister-in-law, Polly Godfrey.

She was a faithful member of Christian Hill Baptist Church in Clermont.

Hilda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Misty Satterfield; daughter, Melissa Satterfield; grandchildren, Laci and Chris Howard, Ethan Satterfield, Evan and Kelsey Satterfield; great-grandchildren, Millie-Reece and Colter Howard, her “little man” Nathan Towe; brother, Hillyer Godfrey and sisters, Cathy Cornett and Emily Abernathy and a host of nieces, nephews and other close family she deeply loved.
