Imogene Young

Mrs. Imogene Young, age 91 of Flowery Branch, passed away with her daughters and grandchildren at bedside on Friday, April 10, 2026.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 18, 2026, with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Bishop Nathaniel Henry of Living Waters Full Gospel (MS) will officiate.  

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 17, 2026, and 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Young was born July 8, 1934, to the late parents of Albert Bullock & Premie Gatheright Bullock in Jefferson, Georgia.  She retired after a career with Crystal Farms in Chestnut Mountain, Georgia.  She was a devout Mother of the church of The Shield of Faith World Ministries in Flowery Branch, GA and the National Church Mother of Living Waters Full Gospel (MS) 

Mother Young’s hobbies included light gardening, music, sharing her love for the Lord Jesus Christ, and making sure no one left her home hungry.  She loved to cook, clean, laugh, and share her wisdom. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Young, Jr.; her brothers Roger Bullock (Doris), Robert Bullock (Claire), Joseph Bullock (Ola Mae), Ralph Bullock (Anne), John Burnes Bullock and grandson, Terry Markeith Nunley. 

She is survived by her sister Alberta Hargrove (Columbus, GA) and by her daughters, Janice Young Rucker (Flowery Branch, GA) and Brandae J. Young Watson (Flowery Branch, GA)  

Mother Young is survived by her grandchildren, O’Shala Lindsey Gomez, Brandon Hopson, Journeyah Watson, and Bretaviah Taylor. 

Great Grandchildren, Justin Hudson, Roshall Spencer, Rosena Gomez, Dayonna Hopson, Rylan White and Izaiah Bailey. 

She also has a host of great-great grandchildren, beloved nieces and nephews. 

Mother Young has a beloved timeless family friend, Minister Gloria Darrisaw, whom she loved as a daughter. 

Thank you to all our relatives and friends who have prayed, visited, and contributed in many ways that words alone simply cannot express the amount of gratitude.  She loved and appreciated everyone in her life whether mentioned or unmentioned today.   

Special thanks to: Betty Solomon, Cheryl Barnes, Gwen Ruff and all the Families for your acts of love and kindness consistently shown to Mother Young over the years for the contribution and support until the very end.  

A repast will be held at the house of Janice Rucker.
