Jacklyn "Jackie" Patton Reed

Mrs. Jacklyn “Jackie” Patton Reed, 79, of Oakwood, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on November 20, 1946, Jackie was the daughter of the late Dewey and Vallie Patton. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and member of Oakwood Methodist Church. Jackie will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, bright smile, and the unconditional love she shared with everyone around her.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Chastity Paige Reed, and her sister, Elaine Parks.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry M. Reed of Oakwood; her son, Chad Scott Reed of Oakwood; her granddaughter, Ansley Paige Turner of Clermont; and her grandson, Andrew Scott Reed of Clermont.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Sandra Skinner officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home prior to the service.

Jackie’s family is comforted by knowing she is now free from pain and resting in the arms of her Savior. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
