Jacqueline Harris Obituary

Jacqueline McBride Harris, 62, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, GA. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and most recently, a proud grandmother. Her sudden passing has left her family and friends heartbroken.

Jackie was born on November 6, 1960, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Charles & Mary Jane Haugh. She spent her formative years in Raleigh, NC, attending Sanderson High School. Jackie went on to achieve her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Despite graduating as a Tarheel, Jackie was an avid NC State Wolfpack fan due to her family's love for Wolfpack athletics.

Jackie was a retired gastroenterology nurse, who dedicated her career to caring for others. She was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband of 39 years, Phil Adrian Harris. Jackie's dedication to caring for Phil during his health battles allowed her family to build many precious memories together. As a loving mother, Jackie held her children close to her heart, providing unwavering support and encouragement throughout their lives. She was overjoyed to have recently become a grandmother, known as Gigi, to her first grandchild, who brought so much happiness into her life. One of the kindest and giving people you could ever meet; Jackie was always there for those who needed her.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Nikki Wiezbiski, her son-in-law Jay Wiezbiski, and grandson Jameson Phillip, whom Jackie lovingly called "my little friend." She is also survived by her son, Taylor Harris. Additionally, Jackie is survived by her sisters Trish (Phillip) Mitchell and Sue Haugh, and her brother Tom (Alicia) Haugh, her nieces Meaghan Mitchell and Natalie Haugh and nephews Brendan Mitchell, Connor Mitchell, Alex Haugh, Chris Haugh, and Ben Haugh.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband. Given their short separation in death, her family finds peace in knowing that their love could not keep them apart for long, and they are together again.

The loss of Jackie is immeasurable, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew her. Her family plans to hold a memorial service in her honor at a later date. Rest in peace, Jackie, and know that you will always be loved and missed.
