James Herman Moon

Mr. James Herman Moon, age 83, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born to the late James Arthur Moon and Ettie Toribush on August 7, 1942 in Mobile, Alabama.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Tonia Winn will officiate the service. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Moon is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlene Mills Moon; brother, William Moon; sister, Patricia Laverne Moon; and granddaughter, Teresa Marie Moon.

He is survived by his son, James Terry Moon of Gainesville; daughter, Angela Carlan of Clarkesville; son, Chris Moon of Clarkesville; daughter, Paula Lewis of Gainesville; daughter, Barbara Moon Payne of Gainesville; son Ray Anthony Moon of Kansas; son, Billy Ray Moon of Gainesville; brothers, Ted Moon of Buford, John Moon of Buford, Tim Moon of Florida; 11 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
