James "Jim" Warren, Jr. Obituary

Mr. James “Jim” Carroll Warren, Jr., age 74, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born to the late James Carroll Warren, Sr., and Dorothy Estelle Walker Warren on November 26, 1951, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Jim lived a full and vibrant life defined by love of his family.

He shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Geraldine “Jerrie” Marie Prince, after wedding on July 3, 1975, in Belle Glade, Florida.  They built a life centered on family and shared memories that will be cherished for generations.

Jim was a hardworking and patriotic man who took great pride in his work. He retired after 25 dedicated years as a powerline man with Pike Electric. In his earlier years, he was a grocery store owner, as well as a skilled gardener and butcher.

He loved classic rock and could often be found playing guitar with friends or attending concerts, wherever music brought people together in the ways he valued most. Known for his fun-loving spirit and unmistakable personality, Jim was a fashion icon of his time—sporting his signature rat tail or mullet for decades and making short shorts a statement long before the younger generations caught on. He truly was the OG.

Above all, Jim loved his family deeply. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life and his proudest legacy.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Peggie and Donald Lord; his sister, Gwen Dubberly; his niece, Samantha Dubberly; his sisters-in-law, Sherrie Danis, Brenda Causey, and Bobbie Kennison; his brother-in-law, Buddy Prince; and his sons-in-law, Ralph Fajardo and Francisco Jose Ventura.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jerrie Warren; his daughter, Mary “Meme” Fajardo; sons, James Conrad Warren (Alyssa) and Jesse Carroll Warren (Allyson); six grandchildren, Sarah (Michael) Warner, Nicole (Jacob) Fajardo, Jared Warren, Jovie Warren, David Warren, and Evangeline Warren; seven great-grandchildren, Raevyan, Koda, June, Lacey, Harvey, Jupiter, and Vinny; sister, Janet (Steve) Sprague; nephews, Steven (Kandis) and Warren (Katie); niece, Caroline; great-niece Savannah; and in-laws, George and Martha Prince.

Jim will be remembered for his strength, his laughter, his music, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created.

A Celebration of Life is being planned by the family in the near future.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
