James (Jimmy) David Mays

Mr. James (Jimmy) David Mays, age 82, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born to the late Robert & Louise Mays on April 11, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia. 

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Leona Osborne will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Mays is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Nicki Mays.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elaine Mays; daughters, Mary Ann (Rick) Gomel, Debbie (Gary) Moore, Collette (Tom) Dodd; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Mays.
