James "Pete" Thomas Harris

Mr. James “Pete” Thomas Harris, Jr. age, 66 passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Dahlonega, Georgia. He was born to the late James Harris, Sr. and Shirley Harris on November 21, 1959, in Winder, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Scott Waters will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Zetta Harris; sister, Joann Bruce; brothers-in-law, Tony Edge, Edwin Shoemake, and Jeff Bryant.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Harris of Dahlonega; sons, David Harris of Cornelia, Stoney Brooks of Dahlonega; daughter, Crystal Reed (Chad) of Flowery Branch; siblings, Elaine Shoemake of Gainesville, Becky Bryant of Gainesville, Timmy Harris (Robin) of Gillsville, Linda Edge of Cleveland; grandchildren, Bailey Gibson, Austin Brooks, Cole Hammond, Matthew Reed; great-grandchildren, Zetta Gibson, and Blaze Gibson.
